The Handball Federation of India (Hindi: हैंडबाल फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया) (HFI) is the administrative and controlling body for team handball in India. The organisation is a member of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1974.In India Handball was founded by Sh. Jagat Singh Lohan from Haryana who was an alumnus of YMCA College of Physical Education of Madras (now Chennai). He was the first Secretary General of Handball Federation of India.
